Hautes Études médiévales et modernes Series

This series has been published since 1964. It provides a chronological overview of more than a thousand years, from Late Antiquity to the dawn of the 19th century, by way of the French and European Central Middle Ages.

This collection of works offers a perspective on many of the disciplines involved in the study of the period: paleographical and diplomatic studies stand alongside works on prosopography, historiography, political or economic history and art history, text editions, not forgetting the history of science and medicine, and works on Christianity in the Ancien Régime.

Series directors: Patrick Henriet, Sophie Minon
Editors: Laurent Garrigues, Justine Parmentier
Editorial Board: Nalini Balbir, Dominique Barthélemy, Emmanuelle Chapron, Patrick Henriet, Michel Hochmann, Danielle Jacquart, Guy-Michel Leproux, Sophie Minon, Pierre Marsone, Judith Schlanger, Nicolas Vatin.

The books published in this collection have undergone single-blind peer review by a specialist member of the editorial board and an external specialist.
