European Strategy
EPHE-PSL, an actor in the European Area of Education, Research, and Innovation
EPHE-PSL considers the European Area of Education, Research, and Innovation to be a key strategic priority. It actively participates in European project calls, mobility programmes, international initiatives, and influence networks.
Horizon Europe
EPHE-PSL has a dedicated service to support and monitor European and international research projects under Horizon Europe. The aim is to boost performance in funding, particularly under the EU's research and innovation framework focused on scientific excellence, industrial leadership, and societal challenges.
Erasmus+ Charter
As a holder of the 2021-2027 Erasmus+ Charter, EPHE-PSL engages in programme actions to advance university and scientific cooperation. It promotes students, teachers, and staff mobility, as well as strategic partnerships and capacity building.
The programme's €26 billion budget emphasises inclusivity, innovation, and ecology, with four priorities that EPHE-PSL supports:
- Digital Erasmus: Boosting digital transformation in teaching and mobility (e.g., European student card).
- Green Erasmus: Encouraging eco-friendly practices and sustainable development.
- Inclusion: Enabling participation for those with fewer opportunities..
- Civisme: Fostering civic engagement.

Internationalization of Training Programmes
EPHE-PSL is focusing on globalising its programmes in order to foster open-mindedness and intercultural skills. Successes include double master's degrees in Archaeology and Art History with the University of Basilicata in Italy, as well as a new programmes with the Universities of Bologna (2021-2022) and Pisa (2022-2023).
International Networks
Membership of networks such as EARS, EURICS, ESFRI, and AUF enables EPHE-PSL to advocate for researchers, protect community rights in projects and strengthen partnerships to promote research cohesion.
International Cooperation Agreements
EPHE-PSL has over 55 agreements worldwide, supporting student (non-degree) exchanges, faculty/staff mobility, publication swaps, and joint projects.
