YOU ARE COMING INDIVIDUALLY
Degree-Awarding Mobilities (Direct Enrolment at EPHE-PSL)
- Master
You are a national of a country covered by the “Études en France” procedure.
=> Follow the admission procedure at EPHE-PSL
Once admitted, to facilitate your procedures:
=> Consult the PSL Welcome Desk notice and follow the pre-consular visa application procedure on the Études en France portal
- Master + Doctorate + EPHE-PSL Diplomas
You are not covered by the “Études en France” procedure.
=> Follow the admission procedure at EPHE-PSL
Non-Degree Mobilities (Visiting Student or Free Mover)
- Master and PhD’s
You wish to undertake a study stay at EPHE-PSL, but your home institution has not signed a framework agreement for international cooperation with EPHE-PSL.
=> Please consult the Visiting Students (free movers) page and follow the procedure for setting up an individual hosting agreement for a study stay
If you are a national of a country covered by the “Études en France” procedure and your stay will be longer than 90 days.
=> You should also follow the pre-consular visa application procedure on the Études en France portal to facilitate your application
YOU ARE COMING ON AN EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Degree-Awarding Mobilities
- International Master's Degree
You are either going to enrol, or are already enrolled, at an institution with which EPHE-PSL has established an international Master's program that includes mandatory study mobility in France.
This mobility is linked to the Erasmus+ program and is managed directly by your home institution.
- International Joint PhD Supervision
You are going to enrol, or are already enrolled, in the first year of a PhD at a foreign higher education institution and wish to arrange international joint PhD supervision with EPHE-PSL, which includes mandatory study mobility in France.

Non-Degree Mobilities
- International Mobilities Outside Erasmus+
Master and Doctorate
You have been nominated by an institution with which EPHE-PSL has signed a framework agreement for international cooperation to undertake a stay at EPHE as part of an exchange program.

If you are a national of a country covered by the Études en France portal procedure:
=> Submit your application for admission to the exchange program via the Études en France portal
- Erasmus+ Mobilities
Master and Doctorate
You have been selected by your home institution to come to EPHE-PSL as part of the Erasmus+ exchange program:
=> Contact the International Relations Department to organise your arrival
=> Consult the directory of Campus France, which promotes mobility and scientific cooperation between France and other countries. It has compiled a directory of mobility schemes and scholarships for study and research purposes

Useful Advice
Before you depart and upon your arrival, you must complete a number of administrative procedures to ensure that your stay in France goes as smoothly as possible.

Important notes
If you are not a national of a European Union or European Economic Area member state and wish to study in France for more than three months, you must apply for a visa.
To find out which visa to apply for:
=> Consult the official France-Visas website
=> Contact the Campus France office and the French consulate in your country of residence.
Students residing in a country covered by the “Études en France” procedure should follow the pre-consular visa application procedure on the Études en France portal.
Admission and enrolment at EPHE-PSL does not automatically result in the allocation of accommodation.
The International Relations Department of EPHE-PSL and the PSL Welcome Desk recommend that students start searching for accommodation well in advance of the start of the academic year start to increase their chances of success.
Various schemes are available to assist them in this process:
=> International Relations Department of EPHE-PSL reserves a quota of 5 rooms at the Centre Régional des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires (CROUS) each year. Applications for housing open in April (for a September/October start) and November (for a February start) each year
=> The PSL Housing Welcome service assists students from all its component institutions of the University in their search (expect support fees of €49)
=> Students residences at Campus Condorcet located in Aubervilliers
Procedure for Allocating One of the 15 EPHE-PSL Accommodations
• Students must have finalised their enrolment at EPHE-PSL to apply for housing or be admitted if it is their first academic year (proof will be required during the application process).
• Submitting a housing application does not guarantee allocation of a room.
• Allocations are made subject to room availability.
=> Complete the Online Form for the EPHE-PSL quota housing application
• Reservations are made for a duration equivalent to a semester or a full academic year and are not negotiable.
• Any withdrawal, late arrival, or early departure (lease termination) must be reported to EPHE-PSL and the relevant landlord (CROUS or CIUP) with one month's notice. Students are solely responsible for paying any rent due to the landlord.
