Postdoctoral Diploma in Historical and Philological Sciences

The EPHE-PSL Postdoctoral Diploma in Historical and Philological Sciences is a highly specialized degree that recognizes original research conducted after the completion of a thesis. The duration of studies is normally two years. This training leads to an institutional diploma and is not funded by a research contract for the candidate.
It was designed as a step towards preparing for the Accreditation to Supervise Research (HDR), primarily for French PhDs, and as a recognition of post-doctoral work carried out within a French research team for foreign PhDs.
