Human and Artificial Cognition - CHArt, EA 4004
CHArt is an interdisciplinary laboratory whose research focuses on the complexity of natural and artificial cognitive systems by combining psychology, computer science, and neuroscience. CHArt's research focuses on cognitive science, including disability and technology, as well as modeling and simulation. CHArt's expertise includes cognitive-social technologies, including consideration of human presence in the perception-cognition-action loop, writing deficits, the characterization of neurodevelopmental diseases, the modeling and simulation of cognitive processes and social interactions, cognition, decision-making, and social robotics.
CHArt has an observation platform, the Laboratory of Uses in Digital Information Technologies (LUTIN: https://www.lutin-lab.fr/), located in the heart of the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. Le Lutin has behavioral measurement tools, such as fixed and portable eye trackers, software for real-time interpretation of eye movements, and data coding and analysis from videos, websites, and webcams.
The lab is behind two startups: Apneal, which develops innovative health and sleep solutions for the prevention of physiological disorders in hospitals and at home: https://apneal.ai and Insight Signals, which accelerates decision-making by providing a data analysis and business simulation platform that integrates technology and society in a single environment: https://www.insight-signals.com
CHArt is part of the Carnot Cognition Institute: https://www.institut-cognition.com/en/
