The Thorax Institute - UMR_S 1087 / UMR 6291

Founded in 2004, the Thorax Institute is a center of excellence dedicated to education, research, and clinical care in the fields of cardiovascular, vascular, metabolic, and respiratory diseases.

Affiliated with Nantes Université, Inserm, CNRS, and Nantes University Hospital, it is committed to advancing knowledge, developing novel therapies, and promoting disease prevention, with a single objective: accelerating research for the benefit of patients.

Recognized both nationally and internationally, the Thorax Institute fosters strong integration between clinical care and research, as well as the development of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.
