The Centre Roland Mousnier (UMR 8596) is one of the oldest university-based history research centers in France. Its work spans an extensive chronological range, from the fifth century to the present day. Its areas of expertise include intellectual and cultural history; religious, social, and political anthropology; historical demography; economic history; area studies; historical semiotics; historiography; as well as the study of ipseity and minority groups.
