Laboratory in physical and environmental geography - GEOLAB, UMR 6042

GEOLAB is a research laboratory in physical and environmental geography, organized around three research teams and a technical support platform (2021–2026 program).
Its research addresses environmental issues from two complementary perspectives: the study of geomorphological and biogeomorphological processes through a multiscale approach that integrates interactions between physical environments and living organisms; and the analysis of the environment as a social and political construct, examined through actors’ representations and strategies.
The unit’s strength lies in the complementarity of these approaches, spanning scales from the gene to the landscape and from the Holocene to the present day.
