Laboratory for the Integration from Material to System - IMS, UMR 5218
The IMS (Integration from Material to System) laboratory was created in 2007 from the merger of the IXL, PIOM, and LAPS units. A joint research unit of CNRS, the University of Bordeaux, and Bordeaux INP, IMS conducts research at the interface of fundamental science, engineering, and technology, with a strong integrative systems approach in Information Technologies. Its scientific activity is structured around nine interconnected research themes, including bioelectronics, cognitics, productics, signal and image processing, control systems, design, reliability, waves, and organic electronics. With cutting edge technological expertise and strong industrial partnerships, IMS stands as a major research actor at the national level.
