Laboratory of Ecology of Natural and Man-impacted Hydrosystems - LEHNA, UMR 5023

The Laboratory of Ecology of Natural and Man-impacted Hydrosystems (LEHNA – UMR 5023) is a joint research unit of the CNRS, Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University, and ENTPE. Originating from a laboratory founded in the 1970s by Professor Albert-Louis Roux, it took its current form in 2011 following a merger with the ENTPE’s Laboratory of Environmental Sciences. LEHNA studies the ecological, evolutionary, and environmental mechanisms that shape the biodiversity of hydrosystems—freshwater aquatic environments, groundwater systems, and terrestrial interfaces—in both natural and anthropogenic contexts.

The laboratory is located on the LyonTech-la Doua campus (Lyon 1 University) and on the ENTPE campus in Vaulx-en-Velin.
