Gender Institute
The EPHE-PSL is one of the 30 founding members of the Gender Institute created in 2012 at the initiative of the CNRS Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences. As such, the EPHE-PSL is an integral part of the Board of Directors and collaborates with the Scientific Council.
As a place of coordination, scientific reception and interdisciplinary exchanges, the Gender Institute's mission is to contribute to the development and recognition of gender studies in France. Through the help of various support mechanisms and thank to its membership of the European AtGender network, it also contributes to giving these studies international visibility.
The Gender Institute's priority research areas are redefined every 4 years; several of them may be of interest to researchers in the EPHE's 3 sections, both in the Human Sciences and in the Life and Earth Sciences.
