1. International Mobilities Outside Erasmus+
You are a staff researcher at an institution with which EPHE-PSL has signed a framework international cooperation agreement and you have been nominated to undertake a stay at EPHE-PSL as part of an exchange program:

2. Erasmus+ Mobilities
You have been selected by your home institution to come to EPHE-PSL as part of the Erasmus+ exchange program:

YOU ARE COMING INDIVIDUALLY
Visiting Staff Researcher or visiting scholar (Free mover)
1. With Individual Hosting Agreement for a research stay
You have been invited by a staff researcher to undertake a research stay at EPHE-PSL, and your home institution has not signed a framework international cooperation agreement with the School. You are a national of one of the Schengen area Member States:

=> Follow the procedure for setting up an individual hosting agreement for a research stay
2. With Individual Hosting Agreement “Préfecture de Police” for a research stay
You have been invited by a staff researcher to undertake a research stay at EPHE-PSL and your home institution has not signed a framework international cooperation agreement with the School. You are not a national of one of the Schengen area Member States:

YOU ARE COMING UNDER THE INVITED DIRECTORS OF STUDIES PROGRAM (DEI)
You are a staff researcher at a foreign institution and wish to undertake a research and teaching placement at EPHE-PSL as an “Invited Director of Studies”:

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Before leaving and upon your arrival, you must carry out a number of administrative procedures to ensure that your stay in France will go as smoothly as possible.
• If you are not a national of a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area, and you wish to reside in France for more than three months, you must apply for a visa:

=> Contact the French consulate in your country of residence
• Being accepted by EPHE-PSL does not automatically lead to the allocation of accommodation. To increase your chances of success, it is advisable to start your housing search well in advance of your arrival in France.
• Various schemes are available to assist staff researchers with their procedures, such as:
=> Consult the site of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP), located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris
=> Consult the Bed&Crous of the Regional Centre for University and School Works, located in the 5th arrondissement of Paris
=> Consult the Maison des Chercheurs at Campus Condorcet in Aubervilliers
=> Consult the PSL Welcome Desk is one of the 42 EURAXESS service centres in France. As such, it offers a support services to international staff researchers, including:
- Prepare for their stay (entry formalities, visas, work authorisation and residence permits),
- Facilitate their installation in Paris by helping them to find accommodation, open a bank account and register with social security, if needed,
- Guide them through everyday administrative procedures (health coverage, for children's...),
- Help them integrate (find a French course, network...).
